The Building Committee met on August 11, 2003 and they would like to keep the church informed of the progress of this committee.

We will be getting bids from architectural firms on their Architectural design services. (Done) The committee will now review each proposal to see how each addresses our needs.

 

We will be gathering information about our current facility and determining our future facility needs. (Done)  Finance programs are also being reviewed.

 

Steering Team and church members will be meeting on . . . . . Tuesday, January 31, at 6:00 p.m.

 

If anyone in the congregation would like to offer comments or suggestions to the building committee, please submit your comments/suggestions in written form and put them in the church office.

 

As a result of our vote on October 26, 2003 (86 in favor, 1 not in favor) we have contacted Rockwell Construction to set plans in motion. We also have set up a meeting with John Faris from the State office to help us start on our fund raising efforts. We will keep the congregation informed as work progresses.

 

The Capture The Vision envelopes are here and available from the church foyer. In order for the Trustees to avoid counting errors, we're asking that you please place your building fund check in these envelopes. A separate check in the C.T.V. envelopes would be a huge help to those who count the offerings. Thank you!

 

Pastor Rickard, Steve Hose, and Tom Ingram signed the building contract for our new sanctuary during the 11:00 11:00 a.m. worship service on May 16, 2004.

 

Financing through Susquehanna Bank August 2005. Our projected building costs are currently estimated at $1.9 million. The new building is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2006.
